Plans are underway to develop a programme of site-specific productions that are each half an hour long. The programme will echo the first ever series of LLL events, presented in 1995.

Well-known Lewes artist, Peter Messer, in conversation with LLL’s Artistic Director Mark Hewitt, discusses his journey and development as an artist, his eidetic tendencies, his heroes and his bête noires. The talk will be richly illustrated with images taken from different stages of his career.

Second in a series of LLL events in which writers and artists talk about how and why they ended up doing what they do in the way that they do it.

Sklamberg & the Shepherds

Lewes All Saints Centre

Sklamberg & the Shepherds brings together three renowned performers of traditional Eastern European Jewish music: Lorin Sklamberg, co-founder and lead singer of the Klezmatics; clarinetist Merlin Shepherd and vocalist and pianist Polina Shepherd, originally from Siberia. A fresh collaboration blending traditional and newly composed Yiddish and Russian song with klezmer and southern Mediterranean music.

a boxed set of original postcards

Following Lewes Live Lit's photographic installation at Eastbourne Station, the collection of 24 postcards that accompanied Lisa Barnard's large hanging portaits can now be bought online as a boxed set.
