A Portertales Production developed in association with LLL
Described as ‘a theatrical storytelling’, Learning to See is an engaging autobiographical work by visually impaired storyteller Liz Porter, that brings together a personal / social history with folk song and stories.
Still in development, the emerging production -- has been presented as a work-in-progress at The Nightingale Theatre in Brighton, the Foyle Studio at mac in Birmingham and Salisbuy Arts Centre. The production gives revealing new twists to old tales and features animated video sequences by artists Abigail Norris and Rachel Gadsden.
A team of specialist access workers have supported the production to develop good quality creative access for audience members with visual and hearing impairments.
